the most authentic Mexican food we have ever had in not just Germany, but all of Europe. the food tasted just like at abuelitas and the frozen Margaritas did not disappoint. owner is really charismatic and you can tell he puts a lot of love in the restaurant and the food - fresh ingredients, art, and a little tequila. what is not to love? it's a shame we don't live in Rostock or we would be there to grab lunch or a drink at least on a weekly basis. ; )

Great location. We stumbled across it by accident and haven't regretted it. The food is great, the chef and owner very personable. He came out for a chat and explained how fresh he gets his ingredients. The chickens, for example, directly from the surrounding area. Call ahead to eat because he'll buy the ingredients as needed.

Quaint and authentic. Food is always delicious Mexican. Place to be for all lovers of Latin America. Interesting small changing art exhibitions are also eye-catchers. Cesareo, the host, super friendly - just great!

Relaxed, cozy pub with a hearty innkeeper. In addition, every now and then great art events or exhibitions. Recommended :)

By far the best Mexican in Rostock. Super friendly owner who is passionate about his shop. This is also reflected in his dishes, be it quesadillas or tacos. And you are also in the right place for an excellent margarita and other great drinks. I will definitely come back!

A little bit weird, a little bit cozy, all around welcoming. Art on the walls, on the floor, a host as nice as one can hope for anywhere. Fantastic hole in the wall to grap a cocktail or a quick bite and stay way longer than planned drinking tequila after tequila. I'm a little bit sad for not actually living in Rostock.

I was in Rostock for two days and stayed at Maya several times. We drank great margaritas & tequila, ate very well and enjoyed the warm atmosphere. There is not food every day, but if you do, you shouldn't miss it! There is also a football table, fine art and always nice company = D

We had a great time at Maya. The owner is very friendly, open and generous. He invited us to several tequilas when we have been there for the first time. The food is very delicious and authentic Mexican food. He makes everything by himself that's why you have to reserve seats for some meals. We can highly recommend everyone to spend a visit :)

Unusual mix of small art gallery with changing exhibitions and bar with Mexican snacks that really fill you up. Besides, the host is real Mexican and super nice - has introduced us to the world of good Mexican Tequilas.
